Comprehensive Car Accident Injury Care In Edmonton

If you’ve been in a major car accident, it’s important to seek emergency medical care immediately to rule out more serious injuries such as fractures, internal bleeding, or concussions. Once urgent medical concerns have been addressed, and you’ve been cleared of serious conditions, lingering pain, stiffness, or reduced mobility may indicate musculoskeletal injuries that require specialized care. At 4 Points Health, we provide comprehensive assessments to identify soft tissue injuries, joint misalignments, and other issues that may not be immediately apparent. Our team can develop a personalized treatment plan to help you recover, reduce pain, and regain mobility safely. If you’re unsure whether you need ongoing care, we can help evaluate your symptoms and guide you toward the best treatment options. We can even help you coordinate with your insurance company to ensure we stay within the guidelines of treatment protocols.

Getting Started:

Getting the right treatment early can make all the difference in your recovery. At 4 Points Health, we offer a fully integrated, team-based approach to car accident rehabilitation—all conveniently provided under one roof. Whether you need chiropractic care, physiotherapy, psychology, massage therapy, or acupuncture, our expert team works together to develop a treatment plan that addresses pain, restores mobility, and prevents long-term issues.

Important! Before any treatment can be initiated, a complete assessment is required by a "Primary Health Care Provider". At 4 Points Health, this can be either with one or our Chiropractors or Physiotherapists. This gets the ball rolling with your insurance.

Did you know -even seemingly minor accidents can affect your body. Sometimes it can a few days for symptoms to develop. That's why it's recommended to get an assessment and start treatment as soon after the accident as possible.

Direct Billing and Coordination with Insurance Providers

We understand that navigating insurance claims can be overwhelming. That’s why we assist with direct billing and coordination with insurance providers so you can focus on healing while we handle the paperwork. With accessible appointment times and a patient-first approach, we make it easy for you to get the care you need.

If there are questions or concerns over treatments and billing, we are often able to clarify those with your insurance company on your behalf so you can receive the treatment you require.

Not sure if you need treatment after your accident? It is advisable to have a complete assessment after an accident even if it seemed minor and you don't have any symptoms. ✅ Persistent pain that doesn’t improve after a few days.
✅ Limited mobility or difficulty performing daily activities.
✅ Headaches, dizziness, or signs of a concussion.
✅ Tingling or numbness in your arms, hands, or legs.

Important: The sooner you seek treatment, the better your recovery outcome will be.

FAQ: Car Accident Treatment

Q: Do I need a referral to be assessed and begin treatment?
A: No, our Chiropractors or Physiotherapists can act as your primary medical care provider.

Q: Will my treatment be covered by insurance?
A: Provisions for medical care are established through the Government of Alberta and your car insurance provider. The exact protocol for how this is administered by your insurance company may vary so it's important to contact them for specifics.
Generally, a set number of treatments are provided through insurance. Most commonly it is 21 treatments over 90 days for the initial treatment plan. If more is required after this period, your primary care provider assesses the need for further treatment.

Q: Can I book more than one treatment on the same day?
A: Yes, we're trying to make this as convenient as possible for you to get the treatment you need to recover. Booking treatments on the same day is one way to coordinate your treatment goals. Often treatments work together and can complement each other -for example -physiotherapy and massage therapy, or acupuncture and psychology.

Q: Are things like heating pads or ice packs covered as well?

A: Yes, in most cases, "sundry" items that are helpful in your recovery are covered by your insurance. It's important to check, but we can also help with this
